Milk Thistle
The antioxidant milk thistle has been used since Greco-Roman times to treat an array of liver ailments. Several studies suggest milk thistle protects the liver from damaging toxins such as alcohol and certain drugs. The active component most responsible for milk thistle’s detoxifying effects is called silymarin.
